Hi All

I don't know if there is a specific place to post routes ( if there is could someone point me in the right direction) after the cold biting winds of the past few days, I decided to risk a ride today here's my route

http://www.bikemap.net/route/201350...g=-1.3919637670898&zoom=12&maptype=ts_terrain

Although the wind was not as cold as it was from the East it was still a cool Westerly,

After a few days of not feeling well and a bit of a Not Good morning, it was a relief to be back out on the road bike this afternoon, especially as the sun was shining.

Somewhere between Wiveliscombe and Langford Budville:

Looking down on Langford Budville - it's situated on the side of a hill so from the road above it, you can only see the the buildings at the top of the hill. Judging by the building sites surrounding the village, I suspect it won't be long before this field becomes a housing estate and this view is lost forever.

Waited for the weather to improve, it didn't. So went out for the 9 mile circuit and ended up with 17 under my belt, I might be a bit damp though:cuppa: . I will have to get some wet weather gear to match the new hack with mudguards.
Have just noticed the soles on my shoes are cracking up after only 30 years ownership:cry: , So I might have to move into the modern era and get some new shoes, do they still do traditional cleats or do I have to get Spds and new pedals too? bang goes my next sneaky ebay purchase

No problems, butcher's (delivery) boys used to tuck their trousers into the top of their socks, only ever wore boots too......

I've been concerned about my dwindling mileage, so I went out this morning despite the foul weather. Ended up doing just shy of 60 miles. Had a puncture 25 miles in, which was slap bang in the middle of a Strava segment, so I am now bottom of the leaderboard!

It was my biggest ride since November, and my first 50+ ride since Jan, so I was pleased with how easy I found it. Those turbo trainer sessions have paid off it seems.

went into London this morning - only 20 miles round trip but it was horrible.

Into a headwind on the way in, and into a headwind on the way out.

Also called into re-cycle, very disappointing, was expecting to see recycled old but restored bikes, most of what I saw still has rusty chains and cogs, so didnt bother looking any closer

67 Miles for me today with 400bhp to Delamere Forrest. Nice rides through the lanes although it was incredibly muddy. Stopped at the Cafe at Delamere and was presented with a hot chocolate that had some architectural merit. Then had a bacon butty (with salad of course) then headed back at a briskish pace. Was amused to see 400bhp was completely covered in crap (I did have guards on) after drafting me for a few miles:evil: .
Got home got of the bike looked at it and decided a full wash down was required, prior to anything else. Oh apart from taking a picture of said muck for Potsy.^_^
