The Pass beat me. I got about 40 yards past the grit bin before I slowed to an exhausted stop. I then had to push the bike and carry my shoes to the summit. Passed by three cyclists and a few cars :-(

The dreaded Winnats Pass grit bin! One of my goals for this year is to get up Winnats - let's see if we can both do it! Sounds like a great ride though, I love it up there

40 miles up to Carsington Water/Dovedale/Ashbourne. The wind near to Carsington made a perfectly flat 0% gradient feel around 25%!!!
Enjoyable morning nonetheless.

I was grunting EVERY pedal stroke before I stopped and almost had a 'clipless'. At the top, I watched a chap on a Wilier seemingly p**s it.

A bit of a stop start club ride for me today with quite a few folk getting p'ture, we had two on the climb to the cafe and I think one bloke got around 4 after that. His first one was certainly unmissable, after a long fast descent and whilst rolling in to Auchterarder for a cafe it sounded like he'd been shot  other than a blown tube he didn't report damage to the tyre in the cafe. After though he got another p'ture and the replacement tube blew up and there was certainly damage then the tyre bead had become separated from the side wall. After a long stop thankfully he got going again only for somebody else to p'ture (it was one of those days ) and we ended up with circa 65miles with a lot of fast sections in between stops. The weather was nice if you were sheltered but chilly and windy when not but thankfully every stop was in a sheltered spot and I think everybody really enjoyed it.

Falmouth Wheelers audax- 102km. Roundabout route to Marazion and back to Falmouth. Sunny but headwind there and back, how does that happen. Great day, great cake.
