80 miles on the fixed round Pendle Hill,
not that you could see it with mist and low cloud

76 miles today, v hilly v windy. about 7000 feet of climbing. Nearly had an off, on a quick descent, overtaken by a motorbike who was going too fast, he couldn't make the sharp right turn ahead and I was distracted from my braking by watching him. He ended up off the road up a farmers path, lucky lad. I snaked around a bit and used the grass verge to get me around the bend, probably doing around 40 downhill when he overtook. My new wheels were very nice, set a couple of best Strava segment times on climbs, pleased with that as they were after 50 odd miles.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Went with the medium mercia club run today , took it steady till the coffee stop to make sure my groin thing was not hurting then took pulls at the the front untill the fit guys decided to chain gang it near to home , got dropped when i had to slow down to blow my nose as no amount of snot rockets could clear it and i could not breathe.
Not sure of the distance as my speedo was palying up till coffe stop but i think it was 28 .5 ish out and about 29 back going by what another club member who lives close to me said.
Average speed out was about 16 mph and on the way back 19 mph with 25 + on the flat towards the end.

A rather hilly ride to begin with, up and over the Quantocks, then looped round the lanes above Bridgwater and came home via the canal path. Rather tired now.

About 28 miles round the Powys / Carmarthenshire borders on back lanes. Didn't really know where I was all the time, but knew I couldn't get lost - I love that feeling. Very hilly and was tired enough when I got home.

Wet here. Not sure what Hacienda was thinking. Watched Paris-Roubaix and cooked a four course Easter dinner. Washed the cycling gear and put it in a drawer.

Circa 29 miles today, a mix of shopping and fitness riding.
15 miles ish this morning on the winter commuter to get some of halfords special offer GTX engine oil. Quite blowy and a fine mizzle, but it didn't bother me, right bike, right clothes, right mindset.

14 miles round Peterborough city this afternoon on the Ribble, still very blowy (gusting to 32mph apparently), a little damp on the roads but no matter. Lots of cars, lots of people, Notts Forest are playing, supporters everywhere.

The Ribble setup is working very well, i spent a lot of time on the drops with the headwind. Found it very comfortable.

Mrs A_T's 2nd Cyclone trainng ride. Got up every hill and averaged 10mph. Well deserved tea and a sandwich at Bolam Lake Cafe half way round.
Good selection of cakes too but no money left!
24 miles in the cold wind and rain at end but came through smiling... now having a long, hot soak.

No ride today, no ride for the previous 2 weeks, and probably no ride for at least another 4 weeks
That's the doctors' diagnosis after tearing the ligaments in my left shoulder after some *^%*er left hooked me a couple of weekends ago.
I'm really missing my riding!

First ride of April after having had 9 days off looking after the kids. An undulating 35 miles, and I attacked the hills in attempt to get stronger for my first sportive.

Had one of the closest passes of my cycling life in Ponteland, nearly hitting my right hand. Shouted 'Woah! F-ing hell!' involuntarily, which seemed to frighten the driver, as he ran a red to get away from me.

All-in-all, glad to be back in the saddle.

Wet and cold ride to Manchester Airport and back but well worth it as i had not been out on two wheels for a while ( tut,tut ! ) Came back down the Trans Pennine along the Bridgewater canal which is nice up to Stretford before it turns to bog ! Loads of fun on a slicked MTB with panniers but at least the mud was kept at bay with the mudguards. 50 + miles so i'm happy
