Just returned from a 35 miler - Lovely sunny day,and not to cold.
Good to get back on the road after a 2 week lay off due to the weather.
Hopefully will be able to resume my 3 times / 120 miles a week

Another Bromley Massive (well myself and Mista Preston) spin to London, this time with a few welcome infiltrators being picked up along the way. Tdr1nka, TTCycle, Tollers and Topcat duly picked up (Sorry about the junction bit...) we headed towards London where the speedy apparition of Aperitif was spotted heading in the opposite direction. We stopped to wait for him to join our merry band and then we were off again. Puncture No.1 TTcycle. So duly fixed we were off again, trading places with a red light jumping lady from Victoria to Hyde Park Corner. The obligatory stop to see if there were any other FNRttC'ers where there... none... so off to the MaccyD's in the Strand for rest stop. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> that's the image of TTCycle heading along the Strand. Aperitif chased her down. A good bye to 'teef who was heading north. Down Whitehall where Mista Preston caused a not very bright pedestrian to jump out of her skin when she decided to cross the road on a red man.. tsk tsk.. bet you wont do that again!. Along the Embankment to Tower Bridge.. wait for others... hmm where are they?.. bet they did a right.. yep they did. Said goodbye to Tollers. Myself and Tdr1nka headed off to chase the right turners down... Caught up with them at Deptford.. A split in the group had Trdr1nka, TTCycle and Topcat heading back to New Cross, Camberwell and Oval. Myself and Mista Preston along the A21 to Bromley. Near Chislehurst puncture no. 2, this time for Mista Preston. In with the new innertube, then out with the new innertube as the valve decided to depart and try take orbit. So in with another new tube.. job's a good'n. I leave MP at Chislehurst and head off home.
47 Miles on a glorious sunny, slightly chilly day. See you next week chaps and chappesses.

What a crap start to the day, up early, by half eight fed, watered, in my cycle gear ready to go and can't find my cycle lock, having wasted three quarters of an hour looking for it I gave up and cobbled together a makeshift lock and chain with a spare lock and an old length of cycle chain. Meant I got out an hour late but still had a great ride. 31 miles to Hampton Lucy and the Cafe by Charlecote house, managed to miss the club lads at the Cafe, ride done in in bright sunshine, still a bit chilly with stiff breeze and a little bit of ice around on some of the lanes, but great to have mostly clear roads and good weather, covered 25 miles getting back, 56 miles in total and the best ride for weeks.:biggrin::biggrin:

First ride since end of november, Swine flu before christmas followed by crap weather.
Really glad to be out on the bike.
Always check the bike before I go out. Checked tyres, pumped tyres up.. excellent lets go!!
4 miles out and the Pu@&%!re fairy decided to strike.. Perfect!
Still had a good ride though, managed 35 miles. Nearly killed me but felt good to be out again

70 miles across Cheshire from Wirral, absolutely loads of riders out today. Today I feel like a proper cyclist again

A nice 53 miles today. From Whiteabbey to Donaghadee and back. Bit windy in parts on the way back but apart from that, lovely day.

Helped a damsel in distress on the way back. She was having trouble getting air in her tyre after changing a tube as she was using a rather small pump. My larger pump did the job for her and she was soon on her way

Great to be out on the bike again.
