I did around 40 miles today. It was great weather. I didn't want to come back, but since I had other commitments I had to. ;)

I'm hoping the weather tomorrow is just as good (if not better) so that I can get in more milliage.

There was a definite chill in the air despite the blue skies as I rode out across Cockerham Sands at 8.30 this morning. Out to Lancaster Uni and up Forest Hills, coming across the Quernmore I had a fit of madness and turned onto Procter Moss Road which has a couple of steep bits. Dropped down into Little Dolphinholme and made for Scorton for a brew. Cappoed up and having had a natter made for Oakenclough and Harris End which were disappointing from that side, through St Michaels and dug in for home 70 miles done.

Fell asleep on the couch watching the Amstel Gold Cup, woke just in time to see the finish.

Might sneak out for a little 50 tomorrow.

Will hope your not feeling too rough and that you make a fast recovery and are back on the bike soon.

34 miles today in a brisk breeze. Never seemed to get a tailwind, but never seemed to hinder me either. 16 plus MPH average, not done any serious mileage lately, so not bad for me, although i spent quite some time on the drops.
Nice and sunny although it started a tad cool.
Boring countryside on this particular circuit...over to Elton, Wansford, shortskip along the A47, then along the back roads to Marholm etc.
Back a bit too soon really...its funny how if you get too close to home too soon....its hard to motivate yourself to push on a bit further.

Did just under 40 miles round Criccieth area. It was a bit breezy in places but a lush day. I've caught the sun and look like a beetroot.

After a forced change of plans for the weekend my visit to the inlaws in Kent  (and planned rides ) had to be cancelled. After three weekends of very hilly rides I opted for a long and fairly soft option around the Vale of Glamorgan. Fantastic weather has left me looking a bit like this  but 70 miles at an average of 15.5 mph in a very noticable breeze (at times) was quite good for me. Got home in time to watch the semi final

62 miles this morning. Left the house at 6.45am, temp was 0C and there was frost on the grass. Back home for 10.15 so it was a brisk pace this morning. Conditions were great - cold, crisp, sunny and hardly a breath of wind. Would have stayed out longer and gone further but I had promised to take 'her indoors' out for lunch as its our wedding anniversay tomorrow

100.52 miles.

Rode over to Hebden Bridge from Leeds and did part of the Spring into the Dales ride with some others off here. Well I say ''with them'', I got dropped after the first climb and never quite managed to get back. Broke off the route at Gargrave and made my way back to Leeds.

Hard day for me. Every climb, apart from the first, was a nightmare.

Sorry to hear your ride was not so enjoyable Colly  and that you spent quite a bit on your tod, I thought you were with at least one of the others.

Do you reckon your coming down with something? need a rest day or two? bad day at the office? a deficiency of red wine?

Will - glad you're mostly in one piece and wish you a speedy recovery.

As for the ride today, after watching Mark from County cycles in the 25 TT up and down the Neath Valley, a Gower loop, then off to Llanelli for a spot of Wilier testing. But we left it a bit late leaving Hirwaun so it was straight down to Llanelli.

However, I can confirm that the Wilier Cento Uno Ballan WC Special is officially awesome! My only regrets are a. I can't afford it, b. my ride was curtailed by a pu****e!!!!!!!!!!!!!! c. handing it back!

Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
took a ride along the coast into brighton...& back ...sat in a pub in shoreham then went down ...crashed on the beach in the sunshine before heading back...easterly wind meant i flew back ...no punctures for a change...

The weather was great today and my hilly 80 miler turned into 110.5 miler. I took some snaps on the mobile when I was out. It was then a very welcome dinner and a 16.5mile cycle back to the flat.

My ride today was a choker - particularly for the driver on the left of this pic - his shiny 4x4 was doing a 5th November adjacent to the motorway, not far from the tank factory in Surrey. I cycled past and was going to take a snap close-up but it was quite warm and the smell was horrid...

Surrey's finest were soon in attendance.

Move along, nothing to see on this thread.

Thanks longers. I still had a good day even though I struggled.
I might be coming down with something you never know. Feel ok at the moment so time will tell.

Perhaps I just need to invest in a triple or a compact.

My ride was a walk. Not just any old walk, but a challenge walk (the equivalent of Audax) of 35 miles cross-country, from Pewsey in Wiltshire. With a time limit of 11 hours. We finished in 10 hours 32  (with 48 non-moving minutes) but finding the extra third of a mph over our usual speed was bloody hard

Oh, and the pubs in Pewsey are rubbish

My ride was a walk, after I got a darn p*nc*ure 6 miles from the office. 10 miles from home... and... damn... no patches left in the kit!

24" tubes are not easy to find. Must pack better.
