Hell man I hope you are fully recovered soon. It sounds like you are very lucky to be up and about so soon. Best of luck mate.

What a day! First our 3rd rider broke down on the way to the 3-up so we were reduced to 2 which was going to make our work a lot harder. First lap was good, averaging 40.2km/h, then we picked it up to about 43/kmh on the second lap. 12km from the end with a very fast stretch to come where we were going to lift the pace even more, I was riding second wheel through a village when a car up ahead apparently put on the brakes.

Result? Lead rider brakes and moves out to avoid hitting the car, I start to follow but lock the back wheel, hit his back wheel and then hit the car. Several minutes later I regain full consciousness after being vaguely aware of two women propping me up and holding my head. Ambulance turns up and takes me off to hospital.

I now have 11 stitches above my right eyebrow, heavy road rash on my right arm, big piece of skin missing over right shoulderblade, and a rearranged mouth (chipped molar and another tooth has moved so I can't put my teeth together).

The tribar armrest broke off and I've shredded an UnderArmour top and my brand new uni top

First time on a proper bike in three months this week, and I went out on my club run yesterday. What with getting there and back on top of the run it was some way over 70 miles, I think. However deciding to go out with the the fast group when we split was slightly over-ambitious, and I got dropped near the end (but the group did include the North-East Regional Roadrace champion so it wasn't so bad, and it turns out I can still climb...).

Just a quick 30 miles round my usual favourite Sunday morning route. Our lad was up half the night though so I was quite tired and it seemed like hard work battling into the headwinds this morning.

Better than Will1985's ride though - hope you feel better soon....ouch!!!

39 sunny miles out to Macclesfield Forest (leg buster), long way up to the Cat and Fiddle on Buxton Old Rd, then back via Lamaload and Potts Shrigley - 2000 ft of climbing in the middle 15 miles.... xx( - bit hazy over the Cheshire so views that wat wern't fab, but Derbyshire was nice.

Glad I put a 23 sprocket on yesterday....:becool:

2hrs 20 - not bad and that's the longest and hardest ride my shoulder has had to put up with since December - we'll see how it feels later.

Bike cleaned, kit washed - off into garden shortly....

Did a sedate 13 mile loop taking in the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Just enough to get a cardiovascular workout and to confirm that my legs are not longer sore from the final day of the C2C ride that I did earlier in the week..

Rode out to a local 25 mile TT, cold and breezy. 1:05:50, probably as good as I could've managed under the conditions. Nice slow ride back, almost exactly 100 km in all.

Will - nasty, here's to a swift recovery and we will all listen out for the yell next time you shower.

70 miles today including the last 15 of a sportive I'm doing in a couple of weeks. I concluded that the course designer is a sadist, at least now I know which hills to chase up and which to sit back 'cos they go on forever. I never realised Northamptonshire was so lumpy ;)

Took a drive down into Somerset and did Dave's Diddy Doddle... beautiful day and good fun. Only did the short run of 45 miles, (well I did an extra couple of miles cause I missed a turn on the way back and had to come back again ;))
