So, 1 min down the road this morning and I realised I had come out with no spare tube. Oh well I thought, havent had a p*ncture for about 6 months so the odds favour me (I would later regret that descision). 5 mins down the road and the rain started... pretty grizzly stuff for about half an hour

An hour into the ride and the P Fairy visited! Took off the tube (as no spare) and begun trying to locate the hole. It was a slow leak so I gave up after 5 minutes or so with no luck. Re-assembled and pumped as hard as I could with my tiny mini pump. Ended up having to stop another 3 or 4 times on the way home to make it. Weight over the bars most of the way so I was pretty miserable, wet and tired by the time I got in. I'll never take a chance on not taking my spare tube (must have been the only time I have done it in the 8 months I have been cycling - Sod's Law eh?) Lesson learned xx(

45 miles loop from Petersfield, Hants with ilovebikes from this parish, and a couple of others, so Me, Andrew, Andrew and Andrew. Very hilly 4000ft of climbing. The descent into Petersfield was fantastic... cold, windy and sometimes wet.. but a good workout

I set off this morning without any route or direction in mind just to head over sort of that way and see where I ended up.

I ended up on the Pennine Bridleway over to Hollingworth Lake, a mountain biker struggling uphill did kindly tell me I was on the wrong bike.

I wish they'd turn that big fan off, it's getting on my nerves now. I've heard nothing but roaring wind in my ears for weeks now and I've had enough. I hate this time of year because you're either wearing too many clothes or you're too cold. 59 kilomotres with 1,898 metres of climb.

A 20 miler along the Cynon and Taff Trail - Was planning on a much longer ride but my young neighbour fancied a joining me and I ended up turning around much sooner than normal. That said another cycle enthusiast in the fold can not be a bad thing

Set out this morning for a recce of the Tour of Hampshire (next Saturday). Wasn't really a day for shorts and by the time I got home both my feet were numb. Still, was a good ride 47 miles in total in near windless conditions.

i have only one word for todays ride - RAPID - well by my usual standards it was anyway...

today was my first ride with a local club, who go by the name GS Avanti  - very friendly, helpful and fit group of riders. An 80 mile ride around deepest darkest and relatively hilly kent, and an average of, wait for it, 18mph by the time i got home  - suffice to say i was quite chuffed with keeping up that pace over that distance, and im now wrecked lol xx( i still had a great time though and it was quite nice to be beating guys on full carbon with dura ace up some of the hills :evil::tongue::tongue: all in all a good days riding, the benefits of which will be scuppered some what by celebrating my 18th tomorow
