No, fair comment - I wouldn't say I dwell on them, it's usually just something to mention. This one did particularly annoy me though and looking back at what was said and done I think he may have done it deliberately to get a reaction. I shall have to just keep it to myself in future.Phil, maybe it's time to learn to let go of your frustration at close passes before an incident like that gets nasty? I only mention this because you talk about close passes an awful lot in your ride reports, which suggests you're still dwelling on them. I don't think it's healthy though I appreciate that this is just my opinion and I may have overstepped the mark.
My sister told me that when she takes her border terrier out for his evening walk, quite often one or both of her cats walk alongside them! Her neighbours think it is really funny. My ride into town today would have been forgotten out of hand as mundane and unremarkable until the last mile when I spotted something out of the ordinary. At first I assumed I was seeing things since my glasses were fogged up and smeared from the annoying drizzle but as I got closer it became apparent that my eyes had not deceived me. There really was a man out for a walk with three terrier-sized dogs on leads and a free range tortoiseshell cat!

I hate to tell you this, but it was running around in a frantic state looking for its partner. Unfortunately, you saw its partner dead in the road yesterday ...Edit: just remembered one thing that did happen today. I saw a live stoat. It came close to not being a live stoat... I only just missed running it over, but it was definitely a stoat (black tail tip) and was less than 500m from my house!)

I read everything on CC! (I don't really, but I do follow certain favourite threads, including this one.)ahhhh, someone actually reads my posts....
probably looking for a parent... it was so small that I mistook it for a weasel at first, but too large for a weasel, slightly the wrong colour and had the black tip to the tail... but there is a pattern isn't here...
weasel - small (very small), much redder tend to disappear down mouse sized holes. (used to have family of them in our garden at our last place.)I read everything on CC! (I don't really, but I do follow certain favourite threads, including this one.)
It makes me realise that I don't know the difference between weasels and stoats, or whether they are related to ferrets. I feel a Wikipedia moment coming on ...
