As long as I breathe, I attack.
Very sensible, another day, another ride.
The arms and back might be self inflicted from the night before

Again, I really really didn't want to go out but I'd had some pringles and some carrot cake. I also had proper lunch for a change so thought that I had better.

I decided to do the 'is it a mouse' route. The route doesn't look that mouse like to anyone but me but it's my ride so I don't care. If I could work out where the heck 'paint' is on this stupid windows 8.1 rubbishy laptop is, I'd put a pic of the route up, but I can't. I really wish that I'd held out for a Mac.

By the time I was a quarter of the way round, I decided that my love affair with cycling was well and truly over. Once I got half way round I thought that I might like it a bit after all. I was listening to the Manic Street Preachers and Matchbox Twenty most of the way round. A bit of an unholy alliance but the iPod was on random. Somewhere around 3/4 of the way round, I'd hit my stride, so to speak and was feeling OK and the last 2.5 miles was a bit of a maul. I was tired but seemed to be spinning along OK.

10.5 miles in 42.58 isn't about to set any new records, except for maybe slowest woman on a carbon bike. It was a bit faster than I thought though. Averaging 14.7mph which is about the same as yesterday. I do need to kick myself up the arse and ride some more and maybe eat less cake.

Off for a nice bath now. I've got a good book on the go and the kettle has just boiled so I'll take a cuppa in. I'm glad that I went out I suppose. Oh, mycyclinglog.com is down again so I've no idea how many miles I've done this year so far.

I might ride tomorrow but I've seen the weather forecast so I might stay in before work and play my guitar for a couple of hours instead.

Edited to add. I think I've sussed it.

A few from my overnight bivvy trip in Wales. Over to Vyrnwy, into the mountains, through the Berwyns and home. 168 miles, lots of those off road. It was damned hard work in the wind and rain too. Weather wasn't great but it was empty, which was nice!

Vyrnwy is low

2300ft up according to Garmin, it was a steep start!

Mostly Landy tracks with a few big crossings to get to other trails

I never dried out after this

Lost, seriously. Didn't have a clue where I was.

My aim today, for my 2nd ride in the last month, was to achieve 5 miles. Once I knew the wife and kids had arrived safely at their coffee morning I could relax a little and get out. Nothing worthy of pictures, but really pleased to have managed my target today. A little over 5 miles in 45 minutes, so better than the last attempt when I gave up at 3 miles. Can only get better from here...

First ride today since Sunday's very very wet Ride London-Surrey 100 86

I took the hybrid out for a utility ride, I needed to stop off at SHUTT Velo Rapide office near Evenley to drop off a cycle jersey I had on approval, then I carried on to Tesco in Brackley for some milk and a bit of dinner for tonight. A nice warm day, though a big black cloud seemed to follow me around, I thought I was in for another soaking but I got away with it.

20.56 miles today.
