Good run today in more ways than one.
33 miles of countryside riding at a smidgeon under 17mph average...very pleased at that average, and once again its the aero position against the (light) wind that helps enormously. Think i'm going to adjust my bars so i can get down on the drops.

Getting to be a regular at a village shop...bottle of Lucozade and a pack of Eccles cakes please
4 Red Kite and a Buzzard..and spookily loads of roadkill Badgers . well....6 anyway ;)

Slow ten mile potter with Ms RT. I nearly went round again on my own, just to get some real exercise, but I had other stuff to do.

Great ride today. Left the house at 7.20 and did a big loop down through Lesmahagow, all the way to Biggar and back via Lanark and Carluke. Was back home for about 10.45. Distance was just over 65 miles and time was 3hrs 25mins so really good average speed of nearly 18.5mph. Weather was great - dry, cool, bright with some sunshine and hardly a breath of wind. Also no motorist incidents of any sort. Loads of little lambs gamboling round the fields as well. Best bit about it was 'her indoors' was really impressed how early I was back home as I'd promised to cut the grass/tidy the garden this afternoon.

Did a 65 mile loop of Carmarthenshire today. Was raining when we started, got progressively brighter, but windier as the day went on. Discovered that the cassette was lose about 20 miles in with no tools to make a repair,, so I was rattling like a good 'un. Came off the bike in Morrissons car park in Carmarthen due to oil/diesel whilst on the way in for a pee! Thankfully no damage to me or the bike as it happened at about 4 m.p.h. and in slow motion, according to 515mm anyway. But other than that I had a fantastic day!!!!

I had a great ride today the weather was great and the winds minimal and I got in my longest ride of the year so far 89miles, on the spesh Sirrus (flat barred) wished I'd done it with the drop bars as I was a bit tired out and my average was only 14.7mph. My only incident was when a I was cruising down the main road in Kinross, a black 4x4 (surprise, surprise) decides to pull out of the minor road immediately on my left, turning right, despite the fact that a 2nd cyclist was doing the same manouvre. I don't know if he was fixed on the other cyclist, making sure he didn't run him over , he never once looked right up the hill in my direction. But not even this idiot could spoil a brilliant ride.

2 rides today.
One that was 10 when i was at Sutton on Sea. It was a fast 10 though, probably faster if i wasnt slow on the campsite or had to turn around.
Then it was the ride home. Went through Caythorpe and Hoveringham so i could have a pee, but got very very wet on the way back. I always seem to get a huge smile on my face when it is raining heavy for some reason.
Coming back through Burton Joyce i had some chavy boy racer in a Punto honking his horn and reving up behind me. He cam past me close and him and his skinny mate were laughing. I was abit annoyed and really wanted to smack the window but thought better of it.
The good thing about the short rides is that my average speed has gone up slightly.
So you didnt get a huge ride in this weekend then Joe?
I've got to try and get 4th or 3rd place back.

I woke up to blue skies, warm sunshine and no wind, so off I went. For the first time in quite a while cycling seemed effortless today:smile: so thought I would aim for 70 miles, did that and put in a few extra loops and my comp was reading 76 on arrival home. Broke my daily mileage record which has stood for 3 years.:biggrin::biggrin:

I didn't cycle today. I did intend on going to my parents which is 26 miles. Unfortunately I seem to be unwell. Started off with a kind of funny flashing in front of my right eye, then a headache and then I felt nauseous. So I had to go for a lie down for an hour. Thankfully no longer have the flashing in front of my eye, and I don't feel nauseous anymore but I still have a bit of an underlying headache. Early night tonight I think and hopefully will feel better in the morning.

Sorry if it seems a bit OTT Plax, but look after those eyes, you only get one pair.
Someone close to me is blind, and it maybe didnt need to be that way. If i may be so bold, if you get any more symptoms like that, i'd see an optician.
Unusual symptoms make me nervous. Of course it'll be nothing, but no harm in checking if it perseviers.

Had a great day today. The weather was great and took the good bike out for the first time this year. First time of the year for shorts and short sleeved jersey too.

Sounds a bit like what happens to me when I get a migraine...which fortunately only happens about once a year...

That last sentence proves it wasn't me....had one of my hill-avoiding nights, so didn't go up or down any - at all . At this rate we are bound to bump into each other at some point though!!!
Oh well, when we have our Cyclechat jerseys there'll be no mistake! BTW are you going to ride allaway to Amsterdam on what appears to be studdy tyres on the MTB?

I did my 6 mile commute but had a half day today and felt like a wee jaunt when I got home so did a lovely 7.5 mile circular route on empty Norfolk roads. Lovely it was too.

Nice ride today. Found out my pedal is stupid. Just over 28miles today. Got caught in rain and hail.
I saw a mate from school who had got a flat tyre on his £20 mtb, i tried to put some air into it with my pump but the hole must have been near the valve because what ever was put it came out, so he had a long walk to a bike shop to get a new tube in the hail and rain.
