Sorry to hear you were one of those flooded @Stonechat We are in Egham and the floodplain ends at the end of our drive, so we just missed it. Was quite worrying watching the water slowly creeping up the road towards the house. How long until you get back into your home, some friends were flooded out and have been told late August/early September..
Well there was a problem drying out - at first they thought there could be a damp course problem nowthey are saying they will take of the rendering ouside and re-render. Who knows - Christmas?

My non ride today was because I couldn't be bothered.

Having spent yesterday in a drug induced stupor, I think I spent precisely 5 minutes asleep last night:thumbsdown:
So my hours were well filled, I have found my n+1, fitted it with a nice seatpost and pedalled into the sunset. Upon arrival my wife greets me, takes the bike away and locks the credit card away amid grumbles of 'not until you sort your bl**dy legs out'.
Guess the test ride will have to wait:smile:
On the plus side, I have a nurse coming to see me today:thumbsup: With needles:sad:

So, what is/was the N+1?

These rules. Rule 9: "If you are out riding in bad weather it means you are a badass.":laugh:

Not to be taken seriously, although some people seem to.:rolleyes:

This really is not cricket:angry:
Oxford consultant rang yesterday and said I need to have blood test to make sure my kidneys weren't being damaged. Since I can't walk more than 10 shuffles that meant the district nurse dropping by today, which she duly did, and my wife took the blood samples to the lab:rolleyes::ohmy:
On the plus side, my kidneys are flushing the poison through nicely, but the muscle breakdown rate is much higher than I was expecting, given it started maybe 7 - 10 days ago. Which explains why it still hurts rather a lot. Enough to disturb me no less than 3 times whilst trying to munch through a nice curry tonight.
One is not impressed:angry::sad::sad:
