This has to be the most famous assault on an inanimate object!

Do you punch, kick, throw across the room etc objects that aren't living, but have annoyed you immensely? My favourite object I assault is my walking stick. I have a few in fact, but a certain one keeps falling over, knocking other stuff over like dog food bowls, ornaments and even my laptop the other day. I know it's not 'normal' but when such incidents happen I do tend to shout at my walking stick(s) and even punch them! The other day through my own fault I tripped while using a walking stick, causing me to throw it down my stairs to teach it a lesson. Electrical items that've conked out have felt my wrath! Am I alone in these acts of irrational behaviour?!

As I post I can't find a loaf of bread I bought yesterday. I'm going to have to look in my car boot, which will take me about 5 minutes to get there and back. If it's not there and I then come back to find it in my flat I'm gonna have to teach it a lesson!!

On the other hand my searching for that loaf has made me find a salad I bought yesterday, at the back of my fridge, so I might let the loaf off a beating as it's hiding from me made me find the salad I forgot I had.🤔

I might have done something slightly similar when I called Alexa a name once.

Trying to get it to set a timer for the third time left me a bit exasperated and on the last attempt I might have added one extra word to the end of my instructions, as was proven twenty minutes later when Alexa announced, 'this is your knobhead timer.' 🤣

How about taps that turn the wrong way ?

OK lever taps I can cope with, but normal handled taps that turn in opposite directions are intensely frustrating. For me this is doubly frustrating as an occasional SCUBA diver one of the key skills is turning taps off behind your head so muscle memory for this sort of thing is crucial
