@Gillstay makes a good point. Our garden was a blank space until lockdown.

The area that has the bird feeders has an olive tree that we had in a pot. It’s gone off like a rocket and the smaller birds appreciate the cover it gives.

Along the edge of the garden is a mixed hedge that Is 6 years old. This is the main cover for all of the birds.

I was looking through some old photos last night. As it’s a dull day I’d like to brighten it with some Mandarin ducks. There is a big population on the river Plym, probably originally escaped from Saltram.

Some more colourful ducks from the past. Wigeon.
They winter on the Erme estuary. Less wow than a Mandarin but equally as beautiful.

Ferral Youff on illegal ebikes doing wheelies the wrong side of the road.
Totally blacked up and well nigh in invisible.
I hit one, I'm the sucker who is insured and will be pursued by the law.
Bits of Cardiff do feel like the wild west.
