A red throated diver on the Spey at Broomhill. It didn’t have a red throat so I’m assuming a young one ?
Also seen in the past few days, a ring ouzel in Glen Avon and a smooth snake on the road to Loch an Eilein.

Yesterday evening I was out for a walk and saw something different, but couldn't fish my camera out quick enough. Today I visited the same spot and saw it again and was ready this time.

A leucistic (female) blackbird. The white is due to some pigmentation deficiency. I have seen one before (and seem to recall @nickyboy told me what it was on these pages) but it was a few years ago.

Found this little fellow wriggling across my garage floor this afternoon. Maybe 10” long. It was heading for the kitchen so I took it outside.

Went for a ride as it was going dark last night and had a fleeting encounter with a bat. It hit my cheek(face!) then bounced into my lap before fluttering away.
