What's the derivation of the name? Was mode of travel prior the the bicycle on puddy cat back?
I wondered where the name came from but an internet search drew a blank.
There are back lanes round here behind the old terraces, wonder if it's summat similar
I don't know, usually if a road has an unusual name theres usually history attached to it.
The name has only recently been adopted by the looks of it - Puddy Back Lane.

Yes, it was dammed & flooded in 1956. No idea about any references but it's close to the reservoir.
