They are indeed called that... we've got an outlier here in Devon, but I've not been able to see it, as it's in private grounds.

Typically I chose the steepest part of the bank to lift the bike up to the wall. A nice example of a round tower church opposite for my box ticking exercise of visiting as many round tower churches as possible by bike.
A sheep dipping trough, near St Mary Hill. From all the wool on the ground, and a field full of shorn sheep next to it, looks like it has been recently used (sheep are normally dipped immediately after shearing for those unfamiliar with sheep farming).
