Many of the village signs around here have had letters removed - "Please D i e Carefully" is common.
I would guess that the yoof in Chinnor have money to burn - letters get added....
Maybe fans of a certain radio and TV series ?

Thanks it makes sense now . I missed the connection as it wasn't a tv show I watched.
