You've had it before, but this time it's special, as I've had two nights away worrying that my house might get caught up in the forest fire. It didn't, and I'm back in the house tonight, even though the fire's not over yet.
Don't be fooled, despite a bridge, and a ferry, being depicted on the village sign, there is neither! as I found out to my cost on Tuesday last, when faced with retracing our route via Gainsborough, or, cycling 28 more miles. Mrs @BoldonLad was not amused.
Another day, another village, but not one I've been to before, because it's right at the end of a long dead-end road. At least this one didn't involve a 600m climb too...

Generations of Kogs had lived in the village . 🤔 Must get round to doing some family history research.
