Another nice Norman doorway (these are a bit of a rarity in the NW!)... St Edith Shocklach built in 1150.
From what I've gathered, the original village was likely on the banks of the river Dee, close to the church, but moved a mile or so away due to the black death which the locals blamed the river for.
