We've all been there. Some little lie needs a slightly bigger lie to keep it going and then a bigger one again. Mine didn't end up in a worldwide religion though

But I totally understand how people who feel something lacking in their life personally, spiritually, or materially might be drawn towards religiosity.

And also how those in dire need, difficulty, or straightened circumstances might appeal to a higher power, in the hope of assistance.

We are all part of a much greater whole, for sure, and should recognise that, but man made constructs such as religious faith, are not psychologically necessary for everyone.

But don't try to persuade others, that 'faith' is a prerequisite for a life well lived

I suspect Albert would have been far happier with our freely made choices.

Than with the idea that some joker came along and told us that our freely made choices were wrong

I get the impression be that Bert was a bit of a freethinker.

I also suspect any omnipotent god type figure, if they were to exist, wouldn't care much either way, whether or not I believe in them.

Out of 6bn people even existing right now, not counting the ones who came before.


I like to imagine, that they'd care rather more about how I live my life, and relate to others, and function in in the observable world, as it is right now 🌱
