Hi all,

As it's getting cold in Scotland thinking of buying a bib long. Got my eyes on a Dhb pro bib long from wiggle. Anyone bought it and recommend or any other suggestions?

Cheers

Yep, you won't go far wrong with the DHB bibs. I think the ones that are called Roubaix are the warmer ones if I remember correctly.

Give Altura Nightvisions a look, mine have done a couple of winters and I've been happy with them. OK price and good reflective bits which is handy as part of my commute if not all of it is in the dark in winter. I have the lined ones which are good and warm.

You can't go wrong with DHB gear.

well apart from the random sizing... luckily they do returns very efficiently.

I've a medium pair of DHB bib 3/4, and extra large in a slightly different 3/4 bib tight.

...but it is rather good gear for the money

I've never had a problem with sizing. Seem to be Medium in everything, Bibs, longs and tops.

I bought the unpadded dhb Vaeon Roubaix waist tights last year to go over my padded shorts, they're great for chilly rides but when it gets really wet and cold then for me they're not enough as they're not that thick. Great quality though.

I got a double pack of dhb Vaeon Roubaix last year for the winter. Good value. Do the job well. Good value IMO.

I'm going to use the Vaeon Roubaix over my shorts until it gets too cold, then I'm considering getting a pair of non roubaix Vaeons for between the two. I'd get another pair of roubaix / reflex but I worry that two pairs would be too hot.

Think i will try the DHB too, the cheap Aldi / Lidl ones suffice for my 5 mile commute but I want to keep riding longer distances this year so need to invest in something better for that!

I bought a pair of Castelli Sorpasso Bib Tights last year. Best item of clothing that I have bought tbh.

Pricey at RRP, but there are always bargains to be had if you look carefully. They were dropped by 30% and got a further £10 off with one of the weekend voucher deals too.

Not massively more expensive than full priced cheaper brands when you find the right deal. They're wickedly comfy and warm when you want them to be, but breathe well too so as not to overheat.
