I had fairly slick tyres but fine on park paths or rougher shared pavements

Just don't use Marathon plus tyres, awful things in my experience!

If going for a Boardman, can get 10% off if a British cycling member. If not, The discount will more than cover the joining fee and you'll get all the other benefits too

I'd still choose a Whyte over Boardman though :smile:

Discount cycles direct often have good deals on the older Whyte models if happy to buy online.

Mine does the stuff you are anticipating with no trouble. I have no qualms about its strength and capability.

Good to hear and nice to know.

Really tempted but will wait until I have tried them all.

I know the Boardmans are better value and probably the Pinnacle as well but subject to a test ride I agree, would choose the Whyte :smile:

May be a few weeks before I get to test them all but will update thread when I have.
