Very happy. Quiet rural roads (plural) within 1/2 mile of my door.
Yet easy access to cities and airports.

Literally the edge of town, the last row of houses overlooking the fields.

Docs, chemist, shops, pub, all an easy walk

This is exactly me. With Woods, protected nature area and a Beach at very close reach.

Moved here before I was a cyclist / dog owner. But it doesn’t get any better than this imo. And I don’t ever take that for granted…..

South London, Multiple transport links into the City for work, short ride to the North Downs and some excellent cycle routes, lots of green spaces and the house backs onto allotments - Just a lack of decent pubs in a short walk, it's 20 mins to the nearest but we do have a very good selection of micro breweries just a little further away.

On the edge of a council estate but backing onto a country park.
2 nice pubs within 10 minutes walk.
Ex RAF house which is quite big ie 4 beds, 2 bathrooms plus a wc, large gardens.
Very content.

Outskirts of / technically just outside Oxford: Lots of nature close by, low crime, pretty quiet, nice chilled and civilised atmosphere and I can basically access nearly everything I want / need on a daily basis on the bike - socialising, shopping and work with a good selection of routes available - canal and river paths, bridleways, relatively quiet country roads..

Small market town surrounded on there sides by two AONBs. Five minutes to get milk or bread; 10 minutes walk into countryside. Good hilly cycling country.
Train station to London or nearest city. Friendly neighbours.
Etc.

You forgot to mention that not one, but *two* shops there sell decent lardy cake.

Everyone in our Close knows everyone else. We are all very friendly and on first name terms. We are multicultural we all get on just fine. There are thirteen houses and we live next to a nature reserve park with woodlands, cricket pitch, children’s play park and loads of room for dogs to play. We are a suburb of Derby but you would think we are in the countryside. We love it here.
