Nigella - as its not too fancy or complicated just good cooking - and she looks good despite not fitting the bean pole image of a female.

Also like Hugh Fernley - W... for the seasonality of his food, and their home-produced efforts. I think we should realise that food doesn't just appear nicely in the supermarket. I remember a friend of mine when she discovered where eggs came from and that they had bits sticking to them.

I hate really complicated recipes ... that's what restaurants are for.

Hairy bikers 'cos they are fun

Jamie used to be fun but now he's morphed into Ramsey

Cant stand Ramsey cos he swears to much and seems to think cooking is a race

Gary Rhoads just annoys me

Keith Floyd was fun

That bloke who lives in Padstow is ok..well I like the outdoor stuff but he's a pompous git

Delia...maybe she should stick to football

Nigella...she could show me what to do with breasts any time, just a shame about being named after a tropical disease

Hugh fernly prattingdon berkface...hmm...

Ainsly..well at least he's happy

Hugh FW for me. I know the programmes can be a bit "jolly hockeysticks" but I find him to be far more sincere than the rest of them, and has been practising what he preaches for years now.

well I guess it still has to be Jools He is down to earth as is his recipes.
Take a look at his stew recipes on his site. Mmm gorgeous.

His heart is in the right place and if it wasn't for general apathy and ignorance of his target audience he would have the sucess he deserves.

At least he is trying to make a difference for our benefit.

Keith Floyd and Madhur Jaffrey - very different people, both however not professionally trained. Mind you, almost none of the best cook books I have are by TV chefs (with the exception of Jaffrey), in fact I tend to avoid them as they are all fancy pictures and poorly-tested recipes.

Another vote for the marvellous Floyd. Did you see the one where he cooked ostrich in a field, surrounded by about 20 inquisitive ostriches? Or Floyd on Africa, in which he went to about 20 different places and in each one made the same dish of boingy grey boiled goat with local grog and fierce spices. Anything tastes good after half a bottle of Lesotho fire-water, I suspect. Also a Jaffrey fan.

Her regional India series was excellent, and the book wasn't bad either. They should give Locatelli a series. His Guardian columns (and the rather overlarge book he produced from them) were superb.
