I once had a lucrative gig as a traffic-dodging skier. I had it all - drugs, women, fast cars and parties at Daley Thomson's. But my love of deep-fried cheeseburgers eventually caught up with me and the weight piled on. "Hungry Horace" they called me. The drugs took their toll too, leaving me with crippling arachnaphobia.
I've cleaned up since, but I'll never visit a ski shop again.
