Never been knocked out, but have passed out a few times having blood taken (injections don't seem to bother me), rather embarrassing for a 16 stone, 6' 3" bloke. Last time was during an x-ray after I had my cast off which bled a bit. Every time they ask if I want to take a first aid course, I politely decline.

My old man knocked me out when i was 14, never really forgave him.
Do you think the people liking this for strong parenting or do they just not like you ?

I got knocked out by the wall on the stairs when about 11 or 12. I slipped on one of the steps near the top and my head bounced off the carpeted step then I fell forward and to the side towards the wall, this I remember. I vaguely remember reaching the bottom on my back with my leg behind me caught on the bottom step but I was virtually stopped by then.

I later came home after a week in hospital and enjoyed another week off on doctor's orders. I also found out the dent I had put into the main structural wall in the house. It was a significant dent that would probably best be matched by a sledgehammer.

When I was about 15, a several mates and I went larking around in the open air swimming pool in Eltham Park. Two of them held onto an arm each and two others held my legs with the intention of launching me into the water.
If the two holding my arms had let go on '3' it would have been OK. Unfortunately, they let go on '2' whilst the mates holding my legs carried on until '3'.
The back of my head hit the concrete edge of the pool and I slowly sank to the bottom in a cloud of red.
I must have been lifesavered as I ended up on the side of the pool, bleeding and coughing up water until the ambulance arrived.
I would have been kept in hospital overnight for observation, apparently, but as mum was a nursing sister I was allowed home that night. It's probably an near to death as I've been, too, as I was drowning.

Strangely, it wasn't an unpleasant feeling until the headaches kicked in!!

The last one I had was interesting and potentially dangerous.

I was kayaking the river Soca in Slovenia. I went down a drop then the river went hard right on a big shoulder of water. For some reason I capsized on the top of the shoulder. I decided to wait a second to roll. My boat was travelling in reverse.

CRUNCH! I’d hit a rock with the back of my head reallybloody hard. Dazed, my first roll failed, but I was up on the second attempt. I didn’t have a clue what was what . My paddling mates got my to sit in the eddy and they monitored me for 10 minutes.
I didn’t look or feel too good.

The problem was that we were paddling a section of river with no get outs for an hour or so, and we’d not long started, so I had to get on with it.

Someone on the trip gave me some super strength pain killers, but it didn’t touch it.

I flew home 2 days later, maybe not too healthy.

my headache lasted about 3 weeks.

I capsized in a weir on the Ivel between Biggleswade and Tempsford once, and hit my head on the concrete at the bottom. I just had a small cut and a black eye for a week, but that night I had the most extreme stomach upset I've ever had, sat on the loo holding a bucket all night, issuing from both ends simultaneously. I don't know whether it was anything to do with my head or just coincidence, or possibly due to the near-freezing water.

Or a sewer overflow pipe discharging untreated crap into the river upstream!

Fainted in the dentist chair once after an injection and while he was working on my tooth.
Injections generally do not bother me and it was nice and warm and comfortable as he drilled away.
I just seemed to fall asleep and came to bent forward with my head between my knees.
Never happened before or since.
