So just changed my job roll and for the first time in my life my uniform is a suit, cycled for the first time today and felt stupid on the bike, left my suit jacket at work and just wore my jacket.

My commute is only a mile and a bit so don't want to use the car.

Anyone else commute in a suit?

Not to work but I do cycle the 2.5 miles between university campuses in a suit. I've even ridden the route once in a graduation gown!

No but I've done like you and commuted in shirt, tie and suit trousers. Suit jackets make fairly awful cycling jackets: too few buttons and too light at the bottom. I'd get a suit carrier pannier if I needed to do it often but I work in IT so I don't

I used to occasionally on work trips to Paris, using their vélib hire bikes. The main thing was to avoid sweating so I learnt to ride in a stately and upright fashion, which was the best way anyway to approach those heavy machines, much like the 'Boris' bike in London. Wearing a tie was an absolute no-no, and I would put it on again round the corner from the office.
As for feeling like an idiot, no I didn't as I wasn't the only one, but then Paris like central London is hardly typical. But such is my addiction to cycling that I'd do it again here if I needed to.

I haven't cycled in a suit but regularly did in smart trousers, shirt & tie when it was only a mile or so each way.

Later found when I moved a little further away (5 miles each way) that suit trousers seams didn't last long so took to getting changed once at work.
Rapha & Endura do smart looking cycle trousers you can wear at work which could fix that problem, not sure how well they'd go with a suit jacket though.

I don't wear suits at work, but regularly I see a gent on a Brompton riding in his suit, sometimes he wears a tweed jacket. He wears a tie too.

Yes, at my last place. Only 6km between station and work. And I was riding a Brompton. Somehow a suit suits a Brommie, if you see what I mean.

I ride frequently in a suit, Often I also wear a rain coat. It's fine. Just take it easy or you will arrive sodden with sweat.

The rides I take in a suit vary from 2-4 miles across town (Santander bikes)
