White is definitely the way forward, just put some car wax on it or gt85, and the crud will just wipe off when you get back from a ride.

Bar tape can get a bit scabby tho if it is white. the Mrs Pikey said to clean it with some really diluted bleach solution. I am still too scared.

White bikes are definitely faster too

If you like riding a clean bike like I do then it doesn't really matter on the colour. I spend just as much time cleaning my white Giant Defy as I do my Silver/Black Giant TCX.

You may notice the white one is dirtier from a distance but I can't bear to ride a filthy bike for too long. Clean bikes also go faster ;)

Get the white/red/black one, I've seen the green one and it looks horrible!

If the best reason they can come up with for not buying a Defy 1 is the colour I think that says a lot about the bike...

Doesn't matter if its white, they only get so dirty, wash it once a year if it needs it or not.

I find it's just a case of keeping on top of it- cleaning it a little but often to stop it building up and it'll remain sparkly!

I thought the green one was okayish looking as it happens, when I saw it in the flesh. Definitely "interesting"ly different!

Can't say the same for the Defy 2 that came out this year in a sort of drab silver with bits of blue and white - Ugh!! Silly sods, Giant - if they'd just brought out a second colour swatch for the 2, they'd have had an extra £120 of my money before you could say "Aluxx SL fluid formed aluminum"!

Any colour as long as it's not black ;). White bikes rule

Don't you mean "Whyte" bikes?!

I've got one that's white with bits of silver, and one that's black with bits of white and silver, and another that's black with bits of green and white. Aesthetically, I like them all. Are you lot all monochromatically polar or something?!

Grey bikes look dirty too after 12 months of commuting (that reminds me, when was that picture taken because I still haven't cleaned it )
