Which will we reach first; 100,000 threads or 20,000 members?

Aye, but the threads in the caff are "real" (ok, real silly chit chat mostly), while the ones in the CA&D you can't even read for information, one never knows what's true, made up, just posted for controversy or for showing up ones cleverness. A challenge for the regulars in CA&D: to post at least once a week in the thread "how was your ride today" and to answer a beginner's/know how question once a month.
That's the bits I like to read!

You haven't been here long Pat but you've obviously been here long enough.

Long enough to need a box, now, labeled "bike", for my tools and bits and pieces. Got that today

I'm with you on this but I think CA&D is great because it filters out a whole pile of nonsense that would otherwise foul up other parts of the forum. It serves a great purpose: the dustbin.
It might have 750 threads but it's a joke to label them as debates with reason, more so experiences close to that Monty Python sketch (you wanted an argument ? Sorry this is abuse).

Forgot: I love the "what have you fettled today" thread, still got to master some of the terms, great for finding out what routine jobs experienced riders do on their bikes.

Less political debates, more know how by the experienced, more cycling adventures or misadventures, more bike renovation project pictures would certainly add sparkle to CChat. Some members come across so ethereal, like they've never been pushed in a mud puddle by a taxi or got oily hands from fiddling ... like they ride 100 miles on an exercise bike in front of bbc news 24 ^_^
I think you need to get about a bit. Most of the regulars on P+Lite not only ride bikes, they ride bikes in each other's company.

You're absolutely right, I need to get out more, socially and on the bike ^_^ Sadly, I keep failing doing this, you know, work, garden, diy, books, bike mantainance, CChat, facebook, skype, me on shifts, friends on shifts, I really do need to get a life!
Glad you enjoy your rides, look forward to read a story from you in commuting or rider's tales
