What is the point of any answer to the question that was asked though? Surely you can see what a pointless thread it was?

The guys got two pair of wheels and has actually ridden both sets on the bike to which this applies. And he's asking us which we think he should use. It is crazy enough asking for necessarily subjective and unreliable and help-free opinions on product A vs B when you're considering buying one or other of them. When you already own both A and B it's a completely pointless exercise. Can you grasp this?

If not then please help me out with a dilemma of my own: I have got these two pairs of pants that are basically of the same type, but different brands and one is stripes and the other dotty, and I just don't know which to wear today. Which do you think I should wear?
Yes I can help here, unlike the wheel question, dotty, obviously, just answer the question if you can, if not don't bother replying.

It depends on the girl...I generally prefer stripes but I've got a friend who loves polka dots...it also depends on the pants and who's wearing them obviously!
Well , seeing as you're the only girl that matters and your friend is obviously some kind of wrongun , that kind of makes me right .

Is it ok to answer in order to point out that the premise of the question is fundamentally flawed?

@Citius Here is the original opening post

hi guys

This is just a quick question as to whether I keep the bontrager RL that came with my bike or replace them with some mavic ksyrium elite S wheels that I bought off a mate a while back

Any advice would be great!

So if you have some information regarding either wheelset that you can pass on to the OP that would be cool.
Why all the cr#p? If the thread doesn't interest you and you have no relevant information, why comment?
Belittling the OP for his question serves no purpose and will drive further posters away for fear of being ridiculed. Remember not everyone thinks like some of you guys/girls or have as much "experience".

It does say "any advice would be great", which kinda suggests, er, that any advice would be great.

Which would include all the posts above.

He has both sets of wheels - what other information does he need?. I think the suggestion that myself and others made was pretty useful, tbh - ie try both and let us know.

Now, if you have a better, more practical, more useful suggestion than that, I would really, really, really like to hear it. I'm sure the OP would, too.

Ummm great advice,
Clearly taking the p#ss.
Pretty much the only advice I've read was from @Spoked Wheels.

And yet all terms based on people's descriptions on Cyclechat of their experiences of wheel upgrading, which (correct me if I'm wrong) are incontrovertibly true because the egos of those who've said these things can't cope with being challenged by facts.
