Some of their locks had a round key hole and these locks could be picked with a simple biro if you knew the technique. If you google it you'll probably find info on it.

Just remember no lock or chain is 100% safe. if you have a strong back, try this one:

As others have said, cable locks are completely worthless - snip and they're gone. I'd offer yet another recommendation for the Abus Granit X-Plus: it's not light, but it's about the best lock on the market.

Once you've got your lock, always try to lock your bike next to a better bike with a worse lock... theives have choices too!
