Loch side.
I've looked at this for years and for once, you get what you pay for. I don't know what your definition of decent is but mine is £90-00. Look in that range and you'll sleep better.

looking at getting a decent lock for my new bike, can you recommend a good one to get !!! are the combination locks any good.

Where do you live? Where will you be leaving the bike? For how long?
If not London/any big city/Oxford/Cambridge /not all day/ not in deserted places, I favour something like this with the cable for front wheel

Or better

Otherwise spend rather more as above!
Also make sure the bike is insured (home insurance/bike policy...especially if buying on C2W)

I can't be bothered with cables for front wheels. It takes about as much time for an opportunist to snip a cable as it does to undo a QR skewer.

For QR wheels I just replace with something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B9MBHN6Q
Yes 7 lobe security keys aren't exactly unobtainium but most wheel only thefts will be opportunist or mischief. Low reward but almost no effort.

Except they need something to cut with!

They do yes but I understand most opportunist bike thieves will carry cable cutters as they're very concealable, quick and silent. My point was that a cable is more faff and only any kind of deterrent for tool-less thieves. A skewer that requires a tool, any tool, even an allen key is probably just as good. One that requires an obscure tool is much better and zero faff. Just remember to carry the tool with your tyre levers.
