Would it be possible to fit a different brand of connector to the Giant? A rubber pipe is a rubber pipe, and if the internal diameter is right…then a Jubilee clip and away you go.
Anyway I bought a SAPO (£11) in 1978 and a couple of new connector rubbers and a leather plunger washer later it’s still going strong.
The rubber pipe has a screw connection, I’ve given it to a friend who happens to have the same pump, but his hose is iffy. One good pump from two partially broke.
