Where do people buy their 2nd hand cycles from?

I don't buy whole bikes used, as they rarely have the spec I want. I'll buy a used frame and swap parts from the collection to build it up, often replacing bits on the donor bike with used bargains or swapping around as the whim takes me.

I look at eBay, Pinkbike, Singletrackworld and occasionally Gumtree, as all have plenty of scope for quality used bits.

Ditto with the swapping bits around, that's how I've currently got a Hollowtech Ultegra triple crank sitting in the shed. I've yet to decide which of the others to fit it to, might need to get another frame.

ebay/gumtree for me to buy and sell. If you're not in a rush there are some good bargains to be had on bikes that can't be "ridden away", providing you can do your own maintenance to get them running nicely again.
