I'm still a teenager. At least in my head!
I'll let you know. (56)
I'm not sure what the problem is. If they said "man" you'd know it was someone over 18 and (maybe) below pension age, so a range of nearly 50 years. As they said "teen", it's a range of 7 years. Much more precise.
You can easily read the article for more information, as you clearly did.
For some reason in headlines, age is essential. And if it involves a house then the value must be given too.In a headline? "Pensioner" is common
Yes ,and the ages of any witnesses they quote. Why??For some reason in headlines, age is essential. And if it involves a house then the value must be given too.
what are you talking about? So a pensioner can't be a man?
you said that if it says man they are under pension age.what are you talking about?
I am just observing some of the words that appear in headlines. If you have a problem with that, take it up with subeditors.
WHEN IT SAYS MAN IN A HEADLINE, IT USUALLY MEANS SOMEONE UNDER PENSION AGE.you said that if it says man they are under pension age.
I am quite sure many people over pension age still regard themselves as men
Ok, your momentary guess was 4 years out. When I think "man", I think 35. So my guess would be 16 years out. So (as 4 << 16), teen is more accurate.Teenager immediately makes me think of someone who is 14 or 15.
