Looks a good route. Just spent ten days in that area cycling with my wife - some of the hills are brutal and I write that as a Cornish rider!

I did the 50km Wigginton falling leaves yesterday.

It’s just over 35 miles and perfect for a beginner as basically flat with only a few sharp short inclines (up and over a bridge type things). I managed to do it in 2 and a 1/2 hours so about 15mph. My only criticism/negative is that I rode the whole thing alone as I was the fastest rider signed up (the others were all old enough to be my grandparents which I applaud but cycled at circa 10mph-12mph). If I had time I’d of done the 100km

Starts in the recreational hall which is easy to get to and not far from Monks Cross shopping centre if you want to visit decathlon.
