Ever since I started cycling, I have this urge to eat everything in sight.. I am worried that the miles I am doing are pointless because I am eating all the calories back, and more!

I was originally eating a fairly healthy diet including lean meats, vegetables, fruits, all that boring sh*t (lol)

But I've slowly started going back to my old habits of fish and chips, McDonalds, pizza, chocolate, beer.. I don't know why! When I was in gym mode it was so different..

I know why you eat all that rubbish, it is because you have lost some self control, in other words you have let the chimp take over.

The choice is yours, nobody is forcing it down your throat.

I was a vegan for a while I now eat meat again but 90% of my diet is non meat. I use a calorie tracker app (mynetdiary) and log what I eat. I stick to around 3500 calories and I maintain my weight.

You're probably making the mistake of thinking because you do a little cycling you're gonna burn up all that food. Even if you do cycle like a pro you should still try and fuel on healthy food.

Are you gaining weight, with all this cycling followed by eating-everything-in-sight? If not, then no need to be so concerned . It's normal to get the munchies after some cycling.

I use cycling as a way of offsetting my Tesco's cherry-pie addiction.

They just about balance out (I hope)!

Sounds like you're just letting yourself get hungry and binging. Eat more of the boring healthy stuff you mentioned ;). Plenty of carbs and a bit of protein after your ride from healthy natural sources. If you're still hungry, eat more.

Approaching perfection from a distance.
If I spend hours every week riding a bike, I always develop a craving for the stickiest, sweetest food stuffs.

Think it's the body's way of trying to replace all that lost energy as quickly as possible.

A little of what you fancy won't do yer any harm - just try not to overdue it. If you need to bloat out try sticking to more healthy options!
