It's been dropping at my local over the last two weeks, 1.38, 1.36, 1.33 now 1.31 for E10
Currently 1.34 for diesel
E5 is usually 10p litre dearer than E10

The best thing about Aspen is it doesn't go off. So you don't need to drain the tank over winter. Personally I just drain the tank on all my machines, although I do think using the "Super Unleaded" is worth the extra cost during the seasons of use.

I've had my mower 12 years now, it's been run on supermarket unleaded and I never think to drain the tank, though I do try to keep it low, ie. only fill a small amount each time, maybe about 1/4 tank for our lawn or 1/3 if the grass is long. I had to clean out the carb once but it's still running on the same oil and plug and still starts first pull. ^_^

I was just wondering that as soon as I read this mornings headlines. Either it will shoot up to £1.80/L as we saw a while ago, or there will be huge queues of people wanting to hoard fuel again

Only certain pumps had petrol at 2 local supermarkets is this the start of a petrol shortage caused by the unrest in the middle east ?

Probably people getting a fill up before prices shoot up following the crude price rise. Which is of course indirectly caused by the unrest, but not actually a shortage as such.

Filled up the camper today just in case Israel hits Irans oil production infrastructure and prices go nuts.

Careful how you open the doors...
