+1.

The simplest way to improve your cycling experience: hard tyres. Go faster with less effort, get fewer punctures. Other than absolute musts like a puncture repair outfit and lights, a track pump would definitely be my first purchase.

After being given my first 'serious' bike as a birthday present when I was starting high school, the first thing I 'wanted' was a Huret Speedometer.

The first thing I went out and bought was the Ordnance Survey Landranger sheet of my home area.

Then I bought a pair of mittens, shorts, adjustable spanner and a small single battery rear lamp.

The PRK, pump and small bag to hold them was included with the bike from the LBS.

Love it mate,it's my 1st ever drop bar bike so feels totally different to my hybrid.accelerating away from the lights is great, just need to get a bit fitter generally to really appreciate it.
Only thing I'm finding a problem is I'm used to my bar-end mirror, not as confident looking over my shoulder when i want to move out/turn right.
Which one did you get? I got the Sport.

i just got the basic model, not the sport or elite.
its my first road bike so it will be strange for me to ride, looking forward to it though, i pick it up 2moro night.
think it will be living in our bedroom for now, untill i build asecure lock up for it outside.

Also check the tyres that the bike comes supplied with and change them if they are not up too much, they may not be much good on wet roads as I have just found out on my new road bike. Perhaps the shop may change them before you take delivery of it.

Will see how these tyres go for a couple of weeks(spesh all condition sport) then change them for some conti 4 seasons,or schwalbe durano+.
