So, just interested to see what everyone uses on their bike given the multitude available and my even fear of seized components.... I tend to:
  • Blue locktite on bolts that I don't want coming out - pannier racks, mudguards etc
  • White Lithium Grease - pretty much everything else > other bolts, axles and fittings, generally seems pretty resistant to water wash out
  • Moly Grease on pedal threads (LM47)
  • Multi-purpose 2EP grease - seat post, perhaps I should just use the lithium/moly grease here as less likely to wash out?
I don't use anti-seize copper grease but it seems recommended it seems for dissimilar metals - eg: stainless bolts into alu?

I wonder weather it's better just to get one tub of blue lithium grease like MOBIL XHP 222 or similar as it would exceed the needs of anything on a bike and just use it for everything?

What do you do?

I'd add Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline) for seatposts and quill stems, unlike grease which includes Soap in its formulation (and can promote galvanic corrosion) Petroleum Jelly is inert and waterproof.
