The Cannondale Cypher looks marginally less ridiculous on me, may treat myself next year. My current Specialized Echelon looks pretty daft, but less so than a hole in my skull would look if I came off
Helmet choice is very personal, go to a shop, try some on, buy the one you like most / looks least silly - bearing in mind they all do
I'm wearing a cheap Bell, smashed up my KASK Vertigo unfortunately, when it was only 2-3wks old There something about expensive helmets and me I done the same with a Bell Sweep (wrote it off when it was only a few weeks old)
I've got a Met Inferno UL whch is comfy, but it' a bit peanut-like. I've also got a Uvex Ultrasonic, which I really like. Great fit and doesn't look too daft when it's on either. I wear that a lot more than the Met...
As has been said, don't just buy a helmet because you like the look of it. I like the look of a lot of the Specialized stuff but they're a poor fit on me and I find them uncomfortable so would never buy one. Anything by Kask fits me perfectly, my Vertigo hardly feels like it's there.
I go for one that's far too small, perches on top of me bonce and would give me F.A. Protection should I need it.
Sometimes I clip it to the handlebars and let it swing as I ride.
And some £100ish spesh thing with lots of protection.
