as of today, 14 012 km .... (8706 miles) .... I'm hoping to double that next year as I started longer rides late in this year ...

I'm pleased with myself ... I only started cycling last September 2015 on a £40 Ridgegeback Comet hybrid. After my 1st ride of 3km, I struggled to breathe

11 bikes later, and I'm doing ok (buy and sell for better and I've had some really good bikes old such as a Koga Miyata, a Gitane Tour De France, etc ....

I feel fit (fitter than I was when I was 18 and in the army) and I can ride long distance with the youngsters in Lycra, and have several Strava records for over 55's ...

I've lost 44 pounds (20kg), and since May of this year, I've managed to to complete the Strava Distance Challenge aswell as the Strava Gran Fondo Challenge every month

I've only recently started riding hills (I eventually bough a Garmin Edge 1000 so I'm exploring hills South of where I live. I'm also hoping to complete the Rapha 500 challenge starting tomorow .... plus I'm hoping to get my first Strava Climbing challenge badge this month ... In January, I will start running and hope to run 5km per day.... I still smoke 15 cigarettes a day, and enjoy a beer and that will remain

I need to learn about nutrition aswell

so .... from 2017 .... no more Mr 'Nice Guy' .... :becool:

About 2600. Slightly more than last year but slightly less than 2014.

Yesterday was my final commute of the year. My target for 2016 was 5000 miles and i'm pleased to say my total of this year (so far) is currently 5673 miles

282007 feet of climbing and I have managed to raise my average speed from 12.5 to 13.5 mph which I really chuffed with considering most of my riding is completed on a rather heavy touring bike.

Next year I think I may have a go at 10000 km (6200 miles)

My target was 2803 miles, simply because it was more than I did in 2015. I really wanted to do 3650 miles as that was 10 miles per day. My total so far (and it's still going up), is a whopping 5275 miles:smile:
Next years plan is to complete the metric century a month challenge.
My target is 10 miles a day but unfortunately this year it is 3660 as its a leap year. 8 days left for me to do 79 miles - just about on target!

300km a week through London on a road bike.
4718 miles and I don't think there will be many more due to MAN FLU!

I have closed the year on 1900 miles. I am unlikely to get any more miles under my belt before the end of the year.

Very pleased with the total as it is mainly commutting miles.

The year isn't out yet. Up to the end of November i'd done 5728 miles, having passed my 2015 total(4505)in late July. As some of will know,i broke my hip in August, then again in November,so my miles for the last 4 months have been limited to short rides and turbo training.

Think I've just done my last ride of the year and therefore I finish on 1684 miles. Not as many as I wanted to do, but still my second best total in a calendar year.
