According to the link given in post two it was Travellin’ Light by Cliff Richard ( never heard of it actually).
According to this site it was What Do You Want by Adam Faith ( never heard of that either), so who knows. What I do know is I was born on the very same day as Cherie Currie of The Runaways, and also Sue, a secretary where i used to work.
Apparently in the UK, the No1 on the day I made my entrance was The Seekers with The Carnival Is Over, I suppose my parents would heartily agree with that sentiment, and in the U.S it was the Byrds with Turn, Turn, Turn, quite appropriate I suppose
Both sites agree on mine, - It's Only Make Believe by Conway Twitty.
Just looked it up to see you must've been born in December 1958, as that record was the official Christmas number one of that year. I had you down as being late 30's, early 40's maybe, so that's quite a surprise.
