Should that not have a spoiler alert. Watching it live-ish via the PVR to skip the adverts although as a BBC studios commission would expect it to appear on BBC1 later in the year.

I still refer to recording stuff as "taping" it. Which is now sadly impossible as I have Sky and they want you to stream everything.

And pay extra for the privilege of avoiding adverts. I refuse to give them any more money so just have to put up with the ads.

I pvr most commercial channel programs i.e. The Bay. Will probably play them all back one after the other skipping recaps as well as adverts.
Looking at U&Drama scheduling Silent Witness was an extra 11-15 minutes long depending on the extent of an ad break at the end. Theres been 258 episodes, that would be over 47 hours spent watching adverts on U.
