The first three episodes of season 3 of Reacher now under my belt.

I hadn't realised there was a third series. I quite enjoyed the first two so I'll probably check it out. The books are pretty boring to be honest (I've read three and it was just the same thing with the locations changed), and clearly written to a very generic formula, but they've translated well onto the screen.

I agree - and Lee Child is pretty open about it tool. I do find it amusing that a British Author can so comprehensively write formula books for the US Market. Somehow Reacher is somehow slightly less tediously perfect than in the books.

I was rather enjoying the reboot of Bergerac until the final moments of the penultimate episode... where it was clear it was going down a well trodden path of crime drama clichés. Ultimately disappointing.

We quite liked it, much better than I thought it would be, we’ve also just finished Hidden Assets on iPlayer which was top quality TV

I quite enjoyed it. I watched the first one live then binged the remaining five episodes.
It would have been better without the now standard plot device of having the detective's son/daughter/wife/partner kidnapped as part of the finale. ...and pinning it on a side character at the last minute always feels like lazy writing to me.
