Probably the most famous build because of what a disaster it became lol.
I hated that build from the outset... an ostentatious architectural toilet roll and a waste of a good location.

In other news...
Dune Prophecy... it looks good but I've not much idea what's going on; rich people conniving, religious people conniving, lots of mumbling.

Just as I type, I'd been scrolling through the channels, & a blast from the past

Wheel-Tappers & Shunters Social Club*

Gene Pitney is on at the moment

* it was an up to date (of the time of filming!) version of 'The Good Old Days'

Sadly, Bernard Manning features
I remember Colin Crompton with his bell, telling everyone that "Pies Are Ready"!

What you shouldn't watch is Departure on Netflix.

Plane disappears from radar from JFK to Heathrow. They don't quite know what happened apart from one girl got sucked out at 30,000 feet and fell into the ocean to be recovered by search vessels - in her dinghy.

Only watched the other 5 episodes for an answer on how that would be possible and they just ignored the situation. Absolute bobbins.

Don't fall for it !

Been watching the second series of SAS - Rogue Heroes on I-Player.
Loud, noisy WWII caper with various punk rock tracks thrown in for good measure.

SAS SRS Rogue Heroes, S2Ep2 update:

After Ep2 I feel I am becoming easily pleased in my old age. That was bloody excellent. I could just watch a Paddy Mayne highlights reel on loop; the line about advice in the guidebook justified my Licence Fee alone

we are one episode ahead (watched E3 last night or was it saturday night) and very much of the same opinion. it can be dark, poignant riotous funny and hugely entertaining all at the same time

Caught up yesterday with the Royal Institution Christmas lectures on the Beeb. Been watching these most years for 50 years I guess. Obviously much of the content is somewhat above my IQ grade but I like the demonstrations. This year they were delivered by Chris van Tulleken on the subject of food, the third one in particular gave much to be alarmed about. Henceforth I will be looking at processed food ingredients with some interest.

I thought these were well above average in terms of quality and entertainment. They had a goat and a snake to demonstrate various weird sh... stuff, amongst loads of madness!

I'd recommend Doc Tulleken's other programmes (some are on the radio) to anyone interested in what they shove in their gob. The recent ones have been very sobering (the one about chickens is horrific :-( )
