Are you still streaming and letting them know your peccadilloes for free? How quaint! Oh well, it could be worse, you could be using a subscription service and actually paying to help advertisers target you.
Are you worried that your tinfoil hat might slip? Couldn't care less about advertisers. The worst case scenario is that I might see something that I might find useful. I'm not sure why this is seen as pernicious.

Thanks for the reminder of Reacher. Brain-out tele at its finest.

I got home from my ride on Sunday to find Mrs P watching Reacher. She binge watched all eight episodes of series one. I dipped in and out when I wandered into the front room. In the end I gave up and went to bed!!!

Dreadful, brain dead TV.

It's ironic that you accuse me of tin foil hat because one of the problems with targeted advertising is political ads pushing conspiracy theories they think you'll believe. And even commercial advertisers can offer you higher prices because your data profile predicts you'll pay them. But this is a bit off topic so here's a link for more info: Targeted ads are a problem—here’s why | TechRadar – https://www.techradar.com/computing/cyber-security/targeted-ads-are-a-problemheres-why

I haven't seen a single one of those on Amazon Prime. I have seen an advert for Nike Sport running their women in sport campaign. Also ads for other Prime shows, one for a vitamin supplement and any others were so irrelevant I've forgotten them. Either way, if they are targeting their ads they are doing a crap job. I have never seen a political advert on Prime.
