Very late to the party on this one, but I've been watching Life on Mars. With one episode to go in the second series I'm loving it and can safely say I don't think I've seen anything quite like it. Very cleverly written and darkly hilarious.

I was going to pause before starting Angela's Ashes* but have been told to get straight into it, which I'm not complaining about.

*I meant, of course, Ashes to Ashes, but this brain-fart made me giggle so I'm leaving it.

We watched "Cold Call" last night. It was originally on Ch5 but is now on Netflix. Quite a good story of how scammers work, but to be honest I think it got too far-fetched and they could have gone in a more realistic straight line with a happier ending, but I guess that wouldn't have made so much drama. Worth a watch though

Just finished the first series of Return to Paradise on iPlayer. It was good, Death in Paradise in Australia, so worth watching if you like DiP. Apparently there will be a second series next year too🙂

Just finished my recording of the strictly final. No spoilers here; i think there was a compelling argument for each of the four couples to be winners.
The best series yet, and an amazing final.

I gave that a try and switched off after ten minutes. Thought it was rubbish.

Just finished This is England 86, currently now in the middle of This is England 88, and surprisingly enough I've got This is England 90 lined up next.

Like @lazybloke I loved the Strictly final, agreed it was the best ever, they were all amazing.

Switched over after that to watch BBC2 Wham! , very enjoyable too, and also very sad of course.
Was that the film with Emilia Clarke? I had that on in the background whilst writing cards and didn't engage much with it. So the massive plot twist was a huge surprise ; made me wish i'd paid more attention!

Before that i saw 'Wham at the BBC'. The recordings of dodgy miming on TOTP took me right back to my teens. Much of it was pure fluff, but the GM solo stuff and interview snippets was interesting. I might pull up a Spotify playlist when I'm cooking later.
