As long as I breathe, I attack.
I can't watch this - but I confess an interest! I was a total Gibson fan-boy from the beginning, but I found Peripheral almost unreadable. I couldn't understand the timeline jumping; normally his "show don't tell" style works brilliantly, but may be I was just too dumb for this one
I have a (smart) friend who loved it ...

I have a fair few of his books but i stopped buying a while ago so missed this one , i might have to see if i can get a copy .

Just watched 'Jack Reacher' on Amazon. Much better than the Tom Cruise version. Alan Ritchson actually looks like someone who could spoil your weekend.

It did go downhill in later series sadly.

Yeah, I've heard that too. Will venture onto season 2 in a bit all the same as I can't help myself.

Shame that so many initially fantastic series' chose to die of old age, publicly sh*tting themselves into oblivion rather than going out in a blaze of glory to universal acclaim..

One of the worst has to be Game of Thrones tbh; essential viewing in the beginning, a total joke by the end.. tbh it's fate makes me wish I'd invested no time in the franchise whatsoever - won't be watching the new spinoff..

Rogue Heroes
The "mostly true" story of the origins of the SAS in North Africa. Lots of mayhem and violence with fun high jinx to an anachronistic AC/DC sound track
He Who Dares, Rodney!

Enjoyed it, produced by the same people who made Peaky Blinders, especially as there was AC/DC in the soundtrack

The spinoff/prequel/whatever you want to call it is pretty good for the first five episodes. Then it goes pretty wrong IMO.

Last night, when I got home from work;
Motorway Speeders
Cheshire Road Traffic Police 'fly on the wall'
The guy stopped, who Highways England contacted Police was strange:wacko:

Traumazone....By Adam Curtis on iPlayer.
Russia from 1985 to 1999.
Basically about the fall of the Soviet Union told in 7 hour long episodes.
Love Curtis and have waited patiently to watch this but dare I say I feel slightly dissapointed ! Done slightly different to his other documentaries with no voice over from him and it seems odd.Still worth a watch over the rest of the crap on tv at the moment. Its bleak if your going to give it a go....be warned.

lol - ta for the heads-up. After the debacle that was the last one, it was a write-off in my mind from the offset.

Made In Chelsea.
New season, new team, new tactics. This seasons strip seems to be open shirts.

Inga finds herself in a love triangle with both Sam and Harvey, while after romancing in Mallorca, Issy wants to know if she can continue getting to know Miles, who seems to be having doubts.

My wife made me watch it. Personally, I'd rather share a roast rat with Ed Stafford.

They haven't learned how lighting works either. There is a scene, which has so clearly been shot in the middle of the day but has been graded to look like it's late evening. Very, very weird.

Yeah, I've heard everything's horrendously dark too.. while low key and low contrast seem to be modern styles of filming; there's stuff on youtube about this and how it comes about (sometimes unintentionally) through post-processing etc.. worth looking into although I forget the specifics..

Well, I carried on regardless and finished it off.

Overall it's not actually that bad, there are a couple of duff episodes, but at least you can see what's going on, mostly. I mean, you can see the dragons!
