The thief, his wife and the Canoe. Very good so far. What a silly boy.....

They're portraying the wife as being forced into it by him, I guess we'll never know the real story.

On the iPlayer there's a bbc version - canoe man. Done and dusted in an hour.

It would perhaps have helped if the writer had actually consulted the pair about what happened...

They are as bad as each other, total scumbags. It's their sons I feel for the most.

I worked in local radio in Teesside at the time, helped our news team do a massive piece on it which was pretty fun, but also terrifying at the scale of fraud they were able to commit.

Barnet,
Re runs of the BBC series Bodies. First series was in 2004. Set in the Gynie department of a hospital. As good now as then. The story is about the politics within the hospital and the power struggles in the management system, with the lower ranking Doctors and nurses, also the patients getting caught in the crossfire.
There are humorous moments, but it is quite gritty.
Now showing on the BBC iplayer.

Paris Police 1900: a french language police / political drama set in the year of the title. Concerns a murdered woman found in the Seine, the sudden death of president Faure in the arms of his mistress, the rise of proto-fascistic anti-semitic politcal group, the Dreyfuss afair etc. I found it utterly brilliant, though in fairness Mrs PP was less keen, in part as few of the characters are all that likeable (which is fair). Still, it looks great, and the plot is intriguing, with the prefect of police, up to now a rather cold fish driven only by duty is starting to get the jump on his enemies

8/10 at least !

I don't think consulting the offenders would have helped much - would they give an honest answer - what's in it for them ?
Apparently the bloke is in the Phillippines but he did say he was off to Ukraine to fight. Prob another insurance scam he's working !

👍 Excited about this!

And on the same evening, a favourite returned from the US for its final series; Brooklyn Nine-Nine! I'm sure all No9 fans are, like us, also big Brooklyn fans!
Maybe ...
